Lexington Equine Surgery was founded by Drs. Chris R. Johnson, Rocky M. Mason, Patrick J. Ford, Chris R. Smith and Mike A. Betz with the vision of creating a dedicated referral center where horses receive exceptional elective surgical care.
As the sister practice of Lexington Equine Medical, our hospital combines the strength of an established veterinary team with a facility designed specifically for advanced surgery.
Collectively, our partners bring more than a century of combined equine veterinary experience to every patient. Under the surgical leadership of Dr. Chris Johnson, our experienced veterinarians, technicians, and support staff work together to provide individualized care focused on safety, comfort, and successful outcomes.
