REGENERATIVE
MEDICINE

Advancing Recovery Through Medicine

Regenerative medicine offers innovative treatment options that support the body's natural healing processes and promote recovery from musculoskeletal injuries. At Lexington Equine Surgery Center, these therapies are used as part of a personalized treatment plan to help improve healing, restore function, and support long-term soundness.

Regenerative Medicine Services

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Utilizes concentrated platelets from the horse's own blood to support healing of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries.

Pro-Stride® APS

A concentrated anti-inflammatory protein solution derived from the horse's own blood, commonly used to support joint health and manage inflammation associated with osteoarthritis.

Joint Therapies

Individualized treatment options designed to support joint health, reduce inflammation, and maintain long-term comfort and performance.

IRAP
(Autologous Conditioned Serum)

An anti-inflammatory serum derived from the horse’s own blood, commonly used to support joint health and manage inflammation associated with osteoarthritis.

Class 4 Regenerative Laser

Uses high-powered therapeutic laser energy to support tissue healing, manage inflammation, and promote recovery following injury or surgery.

Shockwave Therapy

Uses focused acoustic energy to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration in select orthopedic and soft tissue conditions.

Thoughtful Care, Better Outcomes

Our goal is to provide treatment recommendations that are tailored to each horse's individual needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach. By integrating regenerative medicine with diagnostic evaluation, surgery when appropriate, and rehabilitation planning, we strive to achieve the best possible outcome for every patient.

A Collaborative Approach to Care

We believe the best outcomes come from teamwork. Lexington Equine Surgery Center works closely with owners, trainers, and referring veterinarians to ensure clear communication throughout the surgical process and recovery.
